Reports: Arsenal prepare €30m offer for Juventus’ Arturo Vidal

Arsenal are preparing a €30 million (£21.3m) bid for Juventus’ all-action midfielder Arturo Vidal, as Arsene Wenger looks to make a marquee signing this summer, according to the Express.

The 28-year-old is one of the best midfielders in Europe and is subject of plenty of interest with the Gunners the latest club to take a shining to the Chilean star.

Despite suffering some personal troubles recently, he is still performing at the top of his game as Chile reached the semi-finals of the Copa America.

The Express claim that Arsenal sensation Alexis Sanchez has already spoken to Vidal about the merits of playing in the Premier League and the Gunners are set to back that up by making a €30m offer for the midfielder.

Vidal helped Juventus win their – and his – fourth straight Serie A title last season, plus they also picked up the Coppa Italia and lost in the final of the Champions League as Max Allegri’s first season in charge almost brought the club its first treble.
